Cupcake in a Mug

So, if you might have come across this idea. The idea I'm talking about is a Cupcake in a Mug (hence the title "Cupcake in a Mug".) Anyway I have been thinking about doing it for a long time, but tonight I finally got my act together and made one. I made a vanilla cupcake and added rainbow sprinkles. Then because it was jus sooo good I made another for my dad (chocolate cupcake with whip-cream on top!) I wanted to share the recipe with you because if you are ever craving cake you can make it in like 10 mins! Yummy!  I am def going to make another! (did I just write def?) I was half way through eating my cupcake when I thought to take a picture so here it is! Oh, and P.S If you want to make a chocolate one I put the cocoa powder in with the dry ingrediants!

Yellow cake in a mug

Introduction

Until now I've only seen chocolate cake recipes, and so I figured I'd put one up for those who just don't like chocolate. Also, this recipe can be modified and you can add in anything that you want to.
Number of Servings: 2

Ingredients

a2 tbsp flour
1.5 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
2 tbsp milk
3/4 tbsp oil
1/4 tsp vanilla extract

Pam cooking spray

Save Now

Directions

Mix all of the dry ingredients together.
Now add in the milk, oil and vanilla.
Spray a little bit of PAM into your coffee mug.
Pour the batter into mug.
Bake in microwave at high power for 1 minute.
If the cake is not completely cooked, bake for 15 second intervals until it is done.
Enjoy!!!! You can cut it in half or eat it alone =D

Ideas for different flavors:
Bake yellow cake and when its ready, cut in half. Sprinke some cinnamon sugar in the middle. If you are going to eat the whole thing, replace the top part and sprinkle more cinnamon sugar on it.
Add in .5 tsp coffee (instant or regular) and .5 tsp cocoa.
Add 1 tsp cocoa to batter.

Number of Servings: 2

Recipe submitted by SparkPeople user DELILLE.

I was half way through eating my cupcake when I thought to take a picture so here it is!
YUMMY:D

I hope you guys like and use the recipe! ALso if you guys do it and change the recipe or make a new flavor try to comment about it A.S.A.P!

Phrase of the Month: Verbal Handcuffs

Hi, i want to start off by saying I am sooooooo sorry!!! I feel so bad I haven't written in a long time so because of this I haven't done Phrase of the Month in what feels like forever!
I want to make it up to you though!
I found a fabulous I think you just might love!

Verbal Handcuffs: when there is a person who just won't shut up about a topic. This is usually a topic you have no interest in. The talker has basically trapped you there and you have to stand there and pretend you care and listen. They continue even though you have given them several signs you don't care. You might for example: give them a vacant stare, look at your watch, yawn, check your phone, or answer in a one word phrases.

I have a feeling that as you read this you have been thinking about one specific person right now. If not you might want to talk a little less! No, No I'm just kidding!

Although since I haven't done this in so long and I am so sorry I am going to give you 2 words from our english friends across the ocean that I adore!

Jim-Jams (n.): A british for pajamas
Wellies(n.): A british word for rain boots

Again I am so sorry! I hope you liked my expression and words and maybe you will use them!

How to do Crayon Art!

Hi, so most likely you have seen those super cool, super creative, and super incredible pieces of art with crayons melting on them. and if you haven't that sucks. However since I feel sorry for you here are a couple pictures of their awesomeness.

Isn't that awesome! Someone took a cool idea and created something amazing! And guess what the coolest part is...... you ready? The coolest part is that you can do it too!
I think its so cool that people can come up with these crazy ideas and you guys can do them too! That's my favorite part about art, the fact that someone can come up with a simple thought that works and then everyone can do it. So why shouldn't you?
Its actually a really simple idea!
I personally haven't done it yet but I saw it and I was so pumped to do it and I wanted to share the idea with you, because like I said why shouldn't you do it? Its only four steps! By my estimate I think it might take like 30-80 minutes (including drying time).
Sorry for blabbing about stuff for so long but nevertheless let's get right to it!
So after all that waiting here it is!

What you need:
-Some art paper or a canvas (or regular paper if you don't have any of that)
-Crayons (The more the better!)
-Glue (enough for your crayons)
-A Hair dryer
How to:
Step One) This is really simple, but it will take a lot of time! All you have to do is glue it down with the crayon tip facing the bottom, and make sure it is TOTALLY DRY before you do anything! You might have to wait a little but that's okay!
Step Two) Now assuming you waited until it was dry, we shall proceed (I sound old ;D hehe) ok, now all you have to do for Step Two is lean your paper at an angle. Some sites sugest putting it on a corkscrew board
Step Three) Time to get out the big guns! Just kidding, all you have to do is just grab your hair dryer. Okay Now we get into the tough stuff, Put your blow dryer on high and blow where you want it. Don't worry if it doesn't turn out perfect on your first try, its ok! You can restart any time you want!
Step Four) Now this is very simple all I want you to do is turn the hair dryer off, step back, and let the wax dry! It should take less then 10 mins but let it take its time!
You've done as much as you can do let it work its wax magic and then you can admire the piece of art you have created!
There are many ways to do Melted Crayon Art, maybe you might want to just start out with a normal one like the last one, and then you can try to do another design perhaps a harder concept!

I hope you try it out and mot importantly have fun! I'm sure you guys will make fabulas designs as you progress and even on your first try! If you want I would greatly appreciate if you posted your beautiful designs below, I would love to see them! Again, I would like to say have fun and Good Luck!

Phrase of the Month :Don't Pull a Romney

So I am going to be starting something called Phrase of the Month. So that means I take a term that I like that I made up or isn't very popular and I make it Phrase of the Month. So if your looking for some cool new lingo you can find it here once a month.

If you have been watching the presidential debates as a democrat (thumbs up me too) then you might notice something that Mitt Romney often does. When he is talking he often criticizes something he doesn't know enough about, I like to call that a Romney. I'll provide an example.

Person A: I hate the color purple its ugly and there is only one shade
Person B: Hey dude don't pull a Romney. I happen to know that is more then one shade of purple in fact there are hundreds of shades.

Pocket Princesses

So, You might have heard about a little cartoon strip called Pocket Princesses. Well if you havent then you might think its some little kids cartoon. Well, its not. Pocket Princesses is a adorable little cartoon using Disney's old and new princesses drawn by Amy Mebberson. I recently found out about this adorable cartoon and instantly fell in live with it. From what I gathered its like all the Disney princesses bought a area and started living in it. Now after I saw one I instantly fell in love with them so before i give you a link that most likely you will never look at I wanted to allow the pictures some time to convince you themselves. So straight from Amy Mebberson's Tumblr, allow me to introduce the pocket princesses:

First before you saw any comics of them I thought I would show you them all and introduce them to you in person. From the top to the bottom its :
Merida
Rapunzel
